To celebrate the 5th anniversary of Jazz re:freshed, we decided to release a compilation of the music from some of the artists that had been playing at our weekly residency. This compilation became the launching point for us to create our own independent imprint to focus on the incredible talent that we were seeing every week.

Since then the label has been home to some of the most exciting names to come out of the London Jazz scene, think, Ashley Henry, SEED Ensemble, Nubya Garcia, Rosie Turton.

From our aclaimed 5ive series to full-length abums Jazz re:freshed continues to uphold our commitment to showcase new British Jazz talent. 

In recent years we have gained widespread applause having had SEED Ensemble’s debut album Driftglass shortlisted for a Mercury Music Prize in 2019’ (one of the most prestigious modern music awards) and recently winning the Best Independent Label award at the AIM Awards 2020.

As with our weekly residency, the most important aspect of the label is the quality and dopeness of the music. We work hard to support musicians through the process of making the music, from writing to studio recording, asset creation to marketing, live opportunities to touring all while offering a fair, open and honest deal.

Our plans for the future are pretty much to be able to keep going and doing what we do – supporting brilliant jazz talent and giving it the recognition it deserves all we ask is that you support the musicians and buy some music.
